We are happy to announce the successful launching of SIBE“s latest study program, the M.A./MBA (USA), on October 26th, 2015. The M.A./MBA (USA) is a collaboration program between SIBE and the U.S. based Malcolm Baldrige School of Business at Post University in Waterbury, Connecticut.
11 students from diverse professional backgrounds started in this fully online conducted graduate program. The Interactive online study format of the M.A./MBA makes a great difference in working with students says Ute Sachsenröder, the classes Academic Success Counselor, who is a long time experienced student manager at SIBE and the M.A./MBA students“ go-to person on all organizational topics. I am really looking forward to working with the students. They are such a diverse group, and the real world projects the students chose for their studies are really promising. I am excited to see the first results in the next weeks, she adds. At first, I was skeptical concerning the quantity and more than that the quality of online discussions. But after 3 weeks of participating in discussion boards (the online forum for M.A./MBA students) I can say, the online discussions are of top quality and depth. They go far beyond what I’ve expected. says Georg Laqua, the professor working with the students“ on the topic of competency development.
Already engaged in busy work schedules, the 100% online format of the M.A./MBA allows to acquire an international education without having to travel or accommodate set dates to attend classes or exams. In line with SIBE“s philosophy of curriculum-integrated learning, each student elaborates a real-world management project as part of the studies.
Within the coming 30 months, the students will have courses organized alternating on SIBE“s completely re-worked and upgraded E-Campus and on Post University“s Blackboard. At Post University, the M.A./MBA students sit together with Post University“s MBA students, allowing for an even larger international network. Upon successful graduation, the students receive two accredited and recognized degrees. While SIBE awards its long standing M.A. in General Management, Post University awards its U.S. News and World Report ranked MBA degree.
