Pump Stability, Smaller Footprint Designed into New ALLMARINE MA-S and MA-C

Pump Stability, Smaller Footprint Designed into New ALLMARINE MA-S and MA-C

For more information: http://www.circorpt.com/documents/021706_mas-mac_alert_v1.2.pdf

(Radolfzell / Germany – May 16, 2018) – CIRCOR announced a new Allweiler centrifugal pump solution for engine room designers. A next-generation redesign of the ALLMARINE MA-S and MA-C series now provides more vertical installation options for centrifugal pumps with axial inlets in marine and general service applications.

The ALLMARINE MA-S with spacer coupling and the MA-C, a closed coupled version, not only consume a smaller footprint but also offer a unique foot design to help assure stability of the pump in heavy seagoing conditions. A shorter, lighter design modifies the suction flange with integrated fixing holes for pedestal mounting of the foot to the ship foundation.

This configuration promotes pump uptime and reduces wear on the bearings and shaft seal by redistributing pipe load forces through the foundation instead of into the pump aggregate. It also helps avoid damages at the impeller and casing.

„The MA-S is designed for maintenance ease and speed and engineered for minimal maintenance needs, while the MA-C is intended for customers facing significant space restrictions or with no need of the spacer coupling,“ said Kapil Rai, Vice President, CIRCOR Industrial Pumps, EMEA&A. „Each solution design has been tailored to expressed marketplace needs.“

CIRCOR International, Inc. (NYSE: CIR) designs, manufactures and markets differentiated flow control products and sub-systems for Energy, Aerospace & Defense and Industrial customers. The Company has a diversified product portfolio of recognized, market-leading brands (Allweiler®, Houttuin™, Imo®, Leslie Controls, Rosscor®, RTK, Schroedahl, Tushaco®, Warren® and Zenith®) that fulfill its customers“ mission critical needs.

Colfax Fluid Handling exhibiting complete line of wastewater solutions at IFAT trade show

Colfax Fluid Handling exhibiting complete line of wastewater solutions at IFAT trade show

The All-Optiflow series pumps can handle all processes in a sewage plant.

(Radolfzell/Germany – 3/4/2016) Colfax Fluid Handling, a unit of Colfax Corporation (NYSE: CFX), will exhibit its complete line of Allweiler pumps for sewage plants at the IFAT show in Munich (Hall A6, Booth 139/238). This includes everything from macerators and peristaltic pumps to progressive cavity pumps, centrifugal pumps, and propeller pumps in a wide range of sizes. Allweiler’s redesigned Alldur stator and the All-Optiflow pump for abrasive liquids will also be on display.

Allweiler has been supplying sewage plants around the world with wastewater pumping solutions for more than 60 years. „This gives plant operators the ability to obtain all of the pumps they need from a single source, which streamlines the storage of spare parts and ensures that all components are optimized for use together,“ according to Gunter Connert, Sales Manager for Germany at Colfax Fluid Handling/Allweiler. Allweiler’s selection of progressing cavity pumps ranges from small metering pumps for flocculant to multi-stage digested-sludge discharge pumps, which can easily move sludges with up to 40% dry substance across long distances and heights.

The new All-Optiflow series is designed for universal use and is characterized by very high energy efficiency. Their capacity is up to twice as high as conventional pumps. They can move virtually any liquid, including those that contain fibers and solids. When used together with the new Alldur stator, these pumps have a service life that is up to three times longer than conventional pumps without the need to replace wearing parts, even when pumping chemically and physically harsh liquids.

Specialized pump types complete the range of solutions for sewage plants. The exhibited macerators make it possible to pump liquids with a high proportion of solids or fibers. Peristaltic pumps can be used both as metering pumps as well as for pumping liquids with foreign objects. Allweiler propeller pumps are ideal for pumping large volumes of liquid, such as for recirculation.

Colfax Fluid Handling delivers bitumen pumps to Russia

Colfax Fluid Handling delivers bitumen pumps to Russia

Allweiler screw pump of the SNH series

Radolfzell/Germany – 11/20/2012. In June of 2012, Colfax Fluid Handling delivered a package of 21 Allweiler screw and centrifugal pumps for a bitumen production facility in Russia. The pumps are an important part of the plant, which is located in Novoshakhtinsk (Rostov region) and produces bitumen according to the „Biturox“ process from Vienna-based Pörner Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH.

The thirteen Allweiler screw pumps of the SNH series and eight centrifugal pumps of the CNH-B, CTWH, and NTWH series will go into service in early 2013. As the licensor of the „Biturox“ process, the plant engineer is the international market leader for project management and delivery of plants of this type. The facilities use primarily Allweiler three-screw pumps. According to Stefan Kleinmann, Senior Director of Marketing and Business Development at Allweiler: „With this project we have once again demonstrated our high level of technical competence and provided the customer with a unified package of pumps that work optimally together. As a result, the operator will be using pumps with extremely low total operating costs.“

The pumps provided by Allweiler will move bitumen, residue products, water, and heat transfer oils. Pumps used in high-temperature applications above 150 °C will utilize double-jacket casings for heating with superheated steam. These pumps permit stable operation up to a pumping temperature of 270 °C. They are also insensitive to dirt, very efficient, and ensure high uptime. Hard coating of the screws and special surface treatment of inner walls extend the service life of the pumps. All technical documentation, drawings, and operating and maintenance instructions were provided to the customer in Russian.

Allweiler has been delivering solutions for bitumen/asphalt production for more than 25 years. Through collaboration with sales partner A. Rada GmbH, Allweiler was able to quickly fulfill the operator’s custom requirements.
