Frankfurt am Main, 25th November 2014: The share of foreign exhibitors and trade visitors to EuroMold increases year after year. This will also be the case in 2014. The leading suppliers from all over Europe are usually represented at the world fair. Another trend that has established itself over several years now is that both Asian and US suppliers are increasingly using the EuroMold as the largest international industry platform. This development is enormously important for Germany“s status as industrial location and at the same time it provides a positive impetus for manufacturing companies.

„From design to serial production“ – The process chain is international

The machine tool industry and the entire process chain of mould-making from design to product development is of key importance to Germany as an industrial country. The export of the entire German machine tool industry, for example, was about 15 billion euros in 2013. Germany has a global market share of just over 20%, making it the leading supplier of machine tools. As the largest trade fair of its kind, EuroMold indeed offers both German and international suppliers the appropriate forum. And as the most international German city, Frankfurt am Main presents itself as the appropriate venue to cultivate networks throughout the world.

The latest technological trends are taken up immediately

Throughout its now 21-year history, EuroMold has reflected the changes in product development and the high flexibility required from tool and die makers, designers and product developers who need to respond immediately to changes in the process chain. This year will be no different; exhibitors will present the latest products and discuss future projects. In symposia, forums and rounds of talks on specific topics, tool and die makers, 3D printing manufacturers, engineers from the lightweight construction or materials sectors and many other experts will discuss the evolvement of markets, which opportunities are arising and how barriers can be overcome.

„The big advantage of an established marketplace such as EuroMold for visitors and exhibitors is of course the numerous informal and personal contacts that have been established at EuroMold over many years,“ says EuroMold trade fair director Eberhard Döring. „I think this is an aspect that often does not receive enough attention. Unfortunately, even the digital communication often forgets this aspect. And in fact it is the icing on the cake for good business transactions – we have had the first-hand experience over the past 21 years.“

EuroMold – the world’s largest trade fair for Moldmaking and Tooling, Design and Application Development – takes place from the 25th to the 28th of November 2014. More than 1,000 exhibiting companies in the industry and again more than 50,000 trade visitors are expected in Halls 8.0, 9.0 and 11.0 of the Frankfurt fairgrounds. As always, the focus is on the latest trends and technologies and new and innovative products. This year, for example, the focus will be on cooperation between different production sectors. The interaction between toolmaking and additive manufacturing, industrial 3D printing technology in other words, will use concrete examples to illustrate how synergies are created and used.
