IT-Congress 2021: Up to 300 Booths in Digital Exhibition Halls

New 3D and hall docking to improve exchange among participants

No matter how the corona pandemic is going to play out, the IT congress „ITSM Horizon“ will be held – virtually and in 3D, to connect with a global audience. CIOs, executives, researchers, IT experts, and exhibitors from all the world over will meet on September 29th and 30th – made possible by a digital concept.

„What“s new this year is that exhibitors may not only set up a virtual booth, but will be able to present an entire exhibition hall online, and in 3D“, explains Robert Scholderer, founder and CEO of Scholderer GmbH, which holds the congress for the second year running. In their dedicated halls, exhibitors will be able to feature a number of booths, each with a different thematic focus. A novel virtual hall docking mechanism will connect all exhibits. „In this format, this is a world first for a 3D online congress“, Scholderer emphasizes. He expects up to 300 trade fair booths.

The exhibition’s schedule includes speakers giving live lectures and live debates between participants in virtual spaces. Discussions will cover, among others, how services in IT and IT service management are going to develop over the next years – also as a result of the influence of a greater digitization of work, which increased considerably during the Corona pandemic. A novel gamification and BeachClub approach will promote active visitor participation, involvement in debates and communication with each other. „We want our visitors to leave the event with not just five or ten new contacts, as they would after a conventional fair, but with 50 or one hundred“, says Scholderer.

ITSM Horizon – a completely different kind of congress

Already boasting an industry-first concept upon its launch last year, the congress will be digitally updated to stand out among the other virtual congresses on offer. Even more than a year into the Corona pandemic, many online congresses and other digital events remain „boring, because there is nothing to see or do“, Scholderer says. „We want to tackle this differently, hence our focus on personal experience, on trade booths and entire halls in 3D, and on personal and synchronous exchange using avatars or video chats.“

Already confirmed as exhibitors are: the German and Austrian ITSM forums; the G-NE business consultancy from Stuttgart (celebrating its 20th anniversary this year); Punctdavista, the IT consultancy operating in Switzerland, Germany, and France; and USU, the leading provider of intelligent software solutions for IT and customer service management.
