Die MOST50 Technologie mit electrical Physical Layer wird seit ihrer Einführung 2007 erfolgreich in zahlreichen Fahrzeugmodellen eingesetzt. SMSC kündigt jetzt mit dem OS81092 die Verfügbarkeit einer kostenoptimierten Version des etablierten MOST50 Intelligent Network Interface Controllers an.

Die Einführung der MOST50 Technologie mit elektrischem Physical Layer und einer ungeschirmten Verkabelung (UTP) bietet Fahrzeugherstellern eine größere Flexibilität bei der Entwicklung von Netzwerken im Fahrzeug, bei gleichzeitigem Kosteneinsparpotential im Bereich Physical Layer Interface und Verkabelung.

Einsatzgebiete des OS81092

Die MOST Technologie ermöglicht die Vernetzung von komplexen Infotainment Systemen im Fahrzeug. Multimedia-Komponenten wie DVD-Wechsler, Radio- und TV-Empfänger, GPS-Navigation, Sound-Verstärker und Telefon können unter dem Einsatz des OS81092 zu einem leistungsfähigen Netzwerk verknüpft werden. Die digitale Übertragung von Audio-Signalen an den Sound-Verstärker, oder Video-Signalen an Displays im Fond-Bereich sorgen für einen unverwechselbaren Hörgenuss und ein lebendiges Filmerlebnis.
