DEGERenergie increases worldwide commitment - New employees in Germany, Portugal and Australia

World market leader in solar tracking systems with more than 47,000 installed systems: DEGERenergie.

Horb am Neckar, Germany, February 2011. DEGERenergie is expanding its service and distribution structures. In its headquarters in Horb, the company has hired new technical support staff and a new technician has recently started to cater to local customers on site in Portugal. After setting up a new production facility in Australia, DEGERenergie has entrusted a new employee with the creation of local distribution network. The company is planning to hire additional team members for the distribution and service department soon.

Business at DEGERenergie is developing excellently and the company is growing steadily. In the course of this growth, the world market leader is expanding its distribution structures and above all its worldwide service network. Daniel Schrade, Customer Service Manager: „With our technical service, we want to get even closer to the customer. Especially on markets where we are particularly active and win more and more customers, we are hiring service staff and expanding our partner network.“

These are most notably the markets in Greece, Spain, Portugal, Canada, USA, Australia and Germany. „Our objective is to provide customers with a qualified answer to their questions within 24 hours and, in urgent cases, have a qualified technician provide assistance on site as quickly as possible.“

New in the German service team:
Hendrik Walter and Steffen Bahlinger

Among the new employees supporting customers in Germany and other European countries are Hendrik Walter and Steffen Bahlinger, who both recently became part of the service team headed by Daniel Schrade. Hendrik Walter previously worked for a longstanding customer and partner of DEGERenergie. Before he started at DEGERenergie, he worked as a service technician in Canada. „We sell high-class products, and we improve them all the time. Naturally, any information we get in direct contact with local customers is extremely helpful.“

His colleague Steffen Bahlinger also has a wealth of experience in customer support and the required technical know-how. He emphasizes the pleasant working conditions at DEGERenergie and the brilliance of the MLD principle. „Like all truly great ideas, the idea of the principle is simple. Here, a team with a very constructive work approach continuously optimizes this idea, which never fails to amaze me.“

Part of the responsibility of Hendrik Walter and Steffen Bahlinger is to answer technical questions DEGERenergie“s customers ask on the phone or via e-mail. Furthermore, they provide their know-how in the installation of new systems, support new customers and perform the final inspection of solar parks before commissioning. „During such an inspection, we first and foremost check if our requirements for the correct installation of systems have been met,“ says Hendrik Walter.

Service in Portugal – distribution in Australia

As of now, DEGERenergie also offers qualified on-site technical support in Portugal. Responsible for service coordination is Nuno Miguel Maia Costa, a highly qualified electrical and electronic engineer and since mid-2008 technical consultant and service engineer in the field of renewable energy.

A few days ago, Florian Falk Naumann joined the international distribution team at DEGERenergie. To be able to cater to the increasing demand from Australian customers, the company has put a production facility in Wodonga in the Australian state of Victoria into operation in early November. The main task of Florian Falk Naumann is setting up an efficient distribution network for DEGERenergie in Australia and thus strengthen the company“s local market position.

Florian Falk Naumann brings a broad range of competencies and practical experience to draw upon in his new role. Before his debut at DEGERenergie, he was, among other positions, lecturer and tutor at different educational institutions in Australia and worked as a technical sales consultant for technical products and as a business analyst in import/export in Germany. He has a Diploma and Bachelor“s Degree in International Business and holds a Master“s in Technology and Innovation Management from the University of Queensland.

His goals: „I want to combine Australia“s inexhaustible solar energy resources with German technology. It is my vision to use this opportunity to contribute to a future worth living on this planet.“ According to him, Australia is on its way to becoming a vital market for green energy. „My objective is to bring DEGERenergie to the top of the market and solidly establish the company in Australia for a long time to come.“

Michael Heck, Vice President Sales & Marketing at DEGERenergie: „The energy turnaround in numerous markets all over the world is starting to have tangible effects on our market. The demand is rising considerably. By expanding our distribution and service network, we meet the related requirements.“
