Interroll implements worldwide website with e-Spirit’s content management system

International corporate website in nine languages and 29 national sites on unified platform

Dortmund, July 24, 2012 – Interroll, the worldwide leading supplier of rolls, drives and modules for conveyor and warehousing technology and automation, has relaunched its international web sites with the FirstSpirit content management system (CMS) from e-Spirit (www.e-Spirit.com). With immediate effect, Interroll is using the unified platform to manage its corporate website in nine languages as well as its 29 national web sites. This enables the intralogistics expert to organize the central creation and distribution of content and local optimization of the national sites far more efficiently: With the CMS, central corporate or product information from the marketing, HR, finances and product management departments can be very easily created in multiple languages, managed and globally distributed. At the same time the local sales organizations have more options for adapting the content of the national pages to their market requirements, using a uniform set of templates provided by the editing team in the head office. In this way, up-to-date content can be published online faster, while Interroll saves time and costs thanks to the decentralized creation of content. A modern design, clear visual concept and simpler and more lean user prompting ensure increased convenience for visitors to the website as they get to the information relevant for them faster. The e-Spirit partner kernpunkt GmbH was responsible for the implementation of the new CMS, for revising the layout and migrating the content.

Less effort, higher performance

Apart from the multilingualism and easy cross-project working, the high degree of flexibility and openness, extensive „out-of-the-box“ functions and its ease-of-use – even for the occasional editors in the national subsidiaries – where decision criteria for FirstSpirit. Editors work with the intuitive WebClient, through which they can create, edit and deploy the content directly via the browser. A high level of usability reduces worldwide training costs substantially. FirstSpirit also improves the editing performance. Far more content can now be made available in the same time. For example, in parallel with its new website, Interroll also operates an extranet for partners and suppliers and its own portal, through which customers can download CAD design drawings. The editorial content for these portals is also provided via FirstSpirit, whose rights and roles management enables personalized publishing.

„Flexibility, reliability and editorial efficiency were the deciding factors for us when choosing a new content management system. With e-Spirit we decided in favor of a partner with in-built integration strength and sustainable software. It was also important for us that our sales organizations in the countries can work with the CMS efficiently and conveniently. This means that we can address our local customers more specifically, with improved local content that is more relevant for them. We were very well advised by kernpunkt from the outset“, says Jens Karolyi, Vice President Corporate Marketing at Interroll.
